Well, I'm leaving tomorrow for Nationals. Just need to go on a nice and easy ride, clean the bike up, clean the kit, pump my tires, and pack. Tomorrow is the packet pick up and bike check. I'm pretty sure they check everything with UCI rules plus junior gears. I was looking at the entrants list and I was disappointed that I didn't see some riders that I expected. Oh well, there is always next year. I wish all the riders good luck, no casualties, no mechanicals, no flats etc.

Nats./Bike Update
Nationals:
Nationals is coming. 1 more week or so. We already booked a hotel their so that's something. I'm pretty sure I've said what I'm racing at Nats. 30km RR 13-14, 10km TT 13-14, and a 30 min Crit. I had a little taste of Nationals on Tuesday and it was not fun LOL.
Bike Stuff:
As you know already, I ride a 2005 Pinarello Galileo with Campy Veloce group set and Campy Proton wheels. My Dad got me brand new very low resistance tires and tubes. He wants me to have new strong tires and tubes. We also tightened my bar tape A LOT. I love very tight tape. I love to feel the bike. If your going through turns at 50 kmh you'll want to feel what the bike is doing haha! I get this from my brother, Adam Kosela. He used to blog a long time ago.
Hope you enjoyed this post, PEACE,

Sussex Crit
Cat. 5's:
So, I did the Cat. 5's. It went great. I warmed up for like 30 min. I was red, gallons of sweat dripping down my face at the start. It looked like I already raced something. We started, did a lap or two and then there were attacks of like two sometimes three. I was in them all and when I pulled they dropped and then we got caught. Last lap I got into position. Last turn, we went, hard, the finish was uphill and I won the 5's. My parents were shocked, the 5's embarrassed, and the officials with their jaws dropped to the ground.
Juniors U15:
5 min after the 5's, I did the U15 race. It was tough in the beginning cause I was tired. After that, I rolled my legs out and then I was ready. I attacked a few hundred meters from the start line on right before the last lap. I finished, first, with a little more than 10 seconds. The 4/5 race was after that and some of the people from the 5 race and one the race directors wanted me to race again but i had nothing left in my legs.
Nats:
Nats is coming. All I've been doing lately is doing hard trainings. 30 km intervals, 50, 60, +, rides and races every weekend.
Well, that's the update, I got a gopro so you might see some vids soon on a channel link I'll leave on the page. PEACE,

State
State didn't go to well, but good enough. I got 3rd in the sprint. I'm not a sprinter so...... thhat speaks for its self. 1 st was this big-ish 14 year old, 2nd was this 13 or 14 year old from Pony Shop, his name was Marcus something. Super good sport. Anyway that's state.
It would be nice to join Pony Shop if they offered me free stuff haha, cough cough, MARCUS, TALK TO THE OWNER FOR ME, cough cough.
Now it's time to get ready for Nats. I got to do the TT, RR, and Crit.
I have nothing more to say so keep in touch,
David Kosela.
