Febuary

New team member today. My brother joined the team and ordered kit too.  I also ordered kit, I ordered a skin suit, jersey, and bib shorts. I'll update on my Instagram or something with pictures. I'm getting the new stuff next month hopefully before the camp. By the looks of it, I'm going to have to take the good old Galileo to AZ. Imma just have to change the seat to my F:z;k and maybe the bars to some new flattop bars. I used to have flattop bars but a stone hit my carbon bars at TT at Fall Fling and made a bubble so i decided to not use them just in case.

Anyway, here's a little update for you.

Update

Happy New Year everyone. Training is great, legs are sore, and hours are stacking up. Its a little less months til the first races of the season. I can't wait, mainly for the road bike but also for the first races. I might be on a new team too. Any way here's a little update, next update might be when I get my new bike.

The second part of the "Season Wrap Up"

Well, there's the 2017 season for you. A mix of road and cyclocross, great wins and crashes, it's over. Now I get to have my month easy with a goal of 350km a week. Base kilometers. So, let's talk about my last two races of my first cyclocross season. Region Riot Cross went beautifully. With a powerful start and an instant gap between me and third was instant. I say third because I was in a group of two the whole race. It was a tough four lap race. The finish was amazing. I ended up taking second in my first 4/5's. I'm not surprised that I lost to a cat. 4 hahaha. And then it was time for Montrose State CX. I felt like crap the whole race and ended up taking 5th. All in all I knew I went all out. But, sadly, my brother said he would buy me Mavic Wheels if I win so that's not happenin.

Now it's really time to think about road racing. First race is in Kenosha on the 11th or 12th or something like that. I got December easy, January harder, February Harderer, and March even hardererer. I'm getting a road bike for the 2018 season. Been looking at the Pinarello GAN with Sram red and Mavic ES'. Of course I have to buy my Mavics unless some team or someone is feeling generous and wants to give me some for free :HAHA:. I can't wait for the 2018 season. Nationals is in Maryland so that's pretty nice.

Oh and I wanted to say Congratulations Marcus on winning State CX and the Cross Cup. Now we can both be douches to each other about the State jersey's.

Anyway that's it for the blog for now. Next post might be closer to March or something or if a I buy something nice bike related. PEACE.

Wheeling CX

Wheeling cyclocross went great. I got staged in the front row and when the whistle blew, I was instantly in the front, chasing one kid who ended up crashing on the last lap. I took advantage of that and sprinted pass, now I was chasing another kid on the front. I ended up catching up to him on the finish but I was two seconds down and I got second place. It was a fun race but then it was time to focus on Montrose, CX state and Nationals qualifications. Training is going great. The day I'm writing this I went on a bone chilling hour long ride.

Next race is in Indiana. Then it's time for montrose. Stay tuned,
PEACE

CX Update

Groundhog went good, I got 6th or 5th, I don't remember lol. Then there was Pheasant Run Resort Cross. Day one I ended up getting fifth losing 4th in a sprint. Day two I got second. Before the race I felt like crap and later when they blew the whistle, I was instantly in the top 5. I later got with leader and we rode together for the rest of race. We had a huge gap from second and third. I crashed a little less than half a lap to go and I lost the wheel of Marcus(leader) and I got second. I was 6 seconds away and then it was time for podium. I got some candy and I came home with a silver piece of hardware.

Campton Cross/Ground-Hog PSI

Campton Cross went good. I was holding a good position and then I crashed by losing traction and running into a tree.......lol. I messed my shoulder pretty bad too. I got passed but then I couldn't catch back on to the two juniors that passed me. I ended up getting 6th again but there's always next time. Now it's time for Ground-Hog PSI Cyclocross and I'm not too good, still runnin off that shoulder injury and a little cold but I'm not a PUSSY so I'm going to race tomorrow and do good....... hopefully. I'll update with pictures later... or it might be on my FaceBook.

Til tomorrow, or not, PEACE

ABD Sunrise Park/Carpentersville CX

Carpentersville went good, I got 7th out of the 68 riders that started. It was a good course but the barriers killed me. I had a great warm up and I even got grided in the 2nd row which was cool. It was a very cold race but I love cold races. The next race was the ABD Sunrise park. That, was a great course. I placed 6th out of 65 riders. In this race I destroyed the barriers. The course was pure mud. I crashed twice. One of the times I slipped and I didn't have studs for my shoes so there's that. I also messed my shifter up but thats whats its made for right? My brother was yelling like crazy which made other riders ride with nerves so they crashed and I sprinted past them like no tomorrow. The course was very hard but that's what made it fun.

Any way, the next race is Compton Cross. I heard that this course is hard so I guess we'll see on Sunday.

More updates to come, PEACE.
